The reserve is 2500ha in size and borders the Olifants River. There is an excellent network of roads across the reserve and it’s great for game viewing, walking and cycling. On the reserve there are several picnic sites, look-out areas and game hides. The dams are very scenic and are great places to sit and watch the variety of birdlife. On the reserve there are Leopard, Waterbuck, Impala, Hippo, Crocodile, Giraffe, Zebra, Nyala, Impala, Hyenas and Warthog.
The reserve has many rocky outcrops which are interesting to explore on foot, and there are scenic views not only of the Olifants River, but also of the Northern Drakensberg Mountains.
Other features of the reserve include walking, bird and photography hides, Picnic spots and Extra accommodation at the main camp for extra friends or family.
