The Botanical Nature Reserve is situated on the picturesque Blyde River, 23km from Hoedspruit Town. The reserve has a spectacular backdrop of the majestic Drakensberg Mountains. The reserve has a security fence and there is a manned entrance. The reserve is well stocked with plains game like Waterbuck, Wildebeest, Zebra, Nyala, Kudu, Impala, Warthog and Jackal to name a few. A wide variety of birds can also be found on the reserve.
