OLIFANTS RIVERFRONT – VACANT LAND
Exclusive mandate - Stunning 8.5 ha site located on the banks of the iconic Olifants River within Greater Kruger. The property has 371 m of river frontage and has only one neighbouring property to the right-hand side. The area to the left of the property is communal parkland and shall not be built upon. There are no buildings or infrastructure across the river.
This river portion boasts some majestic trees, including Leadwood, Sycamore Fig, Fever tree and Apple leaf. The ground-level of the stand, is slightly elevated and thus higher-lying than that on the opposite riverbank, so flooding should not be a concern.
The property presents excellent game viewing opportunities and there are regular sightings of Lion, Elephant, Hippo, Giraffe, Zebra, Waterbuck, Kudu and Impala. You can build your own private bush house in this spectacular setting and enjoy nature at its best.
The Olifants River is a perennial river and thus flows throughout the year. It is the lifeblood for the central region of the Kruger National Park. Grietjie Private Nature Reserve has recently received Protected Area Status which will change the zoning of the properties from Agricultural to Nature reserve. No commercial lodge may be built on this stand, due to this specific zoning, yet one can use this property for either holiday or permanent living purposes. There is no restrictive time frame to the period of finalizing construction. Power can be provided via an Eskom connection and water will be obtained in the form of sinking a borehole.
Vacant portions like this on the Olifants River no longer exist and is thus a wonderful opportunity to come build your dream bushveld-home in the most spectacular setting! This property is sold inclusive of VAT and no transfer fees apply.
Grietjie is a 2,800-ha game reserve located within the Balule Region of the greater Kruger National park. Balule is a member of the APNR (Associated Private Nature Reserves), which is made up of Balule, Klaserie, Timbavati and Umbabat and which is linked to the Kruger National Park. There are no fences dividing the individual reserves and thus game roam freely between Kruger and Balule, and several other private game reserves.
Grietjie is located on the Northern banks of the Olifants River. The other three neighbouring reserves on the northern bank of the Olifant river include: Olifants North, Parsons and Doreen. Grietjie is made up of 118 full title portions ranging from 8 ha to 21 ha portions in size.
There are regular sightings of “Big 5” animals, as well as a wide variety of plains game to be spotted on a daily basis. Game species include: Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Rhino, Buffalo, Giraffe, Kudu, Nyala, Hippo, Hyena, Impala, Waterbuck, Warthog, Duiker, Steenbuck and many more…
Water is provided via individual owners’ boreholes and electricity by Eskom.
