Properties on Canyon Game Reserve are 1hA in size (other estates smaller properties). Neighbouring properties to this Canyon house are already developed and houses well offset. No future development can come to create a disturbance. Canyon only has 44 plots of which only 11 are developed – very few cars and no noise pollution. Canyon has only one entrance, manned 24/7 and is difficult for intruders to enter as there is no main road access or passage over mountains.
There is no highway or road noise on the reserve at all. The R528 is too far and the Jonkmansspruit road is not an access way to anywhere significant. It takes 17 minutes to reach the four way stop at the Raptors View entrance in town. Approximately the same as from Moditlo and/or Wild Rivers.
There is no similar mountain/Drakensberg setting anywhere in the lowveld and owners have access to the mountains. Game roads and routes start from the edge and close to this Canyon property and are very user friendly. All power lines are buried and water is from the Blyde system, not municipal. This house has its own waterhole, regular visits from game, especially giraffe, nyala, impala and Kudu.
Canyon is financially stable. Levies are currently set at only R1000 per title deed. Canyon is a full title development, no issues with sectional title developments. Canyon reserve has easy access to shops for basic supplies – cafe, general dealer, butchery, bottle store and fuel. Electricity is pay-as-you-go through the HOA. There is no light pollution on the reserve.

This canyon home is lock and leave – the splash pool is easily emptied and refilled, there are no gardens per se and the house requires no daily upkeep and/or maintenance. Rubbish collection is extremely reliable and the drop off point for bags is on the way to the main gate. Using the Jonkmansspruit Road, Kruger Park Orpen gate turnoff is extremely accessible and is within 30 minutes’ drive of the estate.
Two excellent local restaurants are within ten kilometres of the gates – Blue Canyon and the Mad Dogz cafe.

There is a remote controlled burglar alarm system fitted into the house. This system is not in use and not maintained, but the elements are in place along with the wiring.
